Souvenirs

In Norwegian Please!

While away at the Rennebu-martnan I had to buy some souvenirs. My husband deserved a gift, and what better to get him than a coffee-cup? Modelled and painted by this woman in Trondheim it was such a fun and special find I just had to buy it.

She - the producer of these cups - never gets the same expression when she paints the birds.
And I like that.

The birds on my husbands coffee-cup are not nice. They are grumpy and tired and not alltogether pleased with the life at the moment. Very... fitting for mornings at our house sometimes, I'd say. My husband being the tired, not alltogether awake bird on the outside, and me being the grumpy, angry and stressed out one inside the cup.

I also had to buy some yarn. Merino-wool from Leine Merino. I think this will become a shawl sooner og later - probably later - and I think I've found the right one at Knitty.com.

Usually I don't use nor buy these orange colors, but these are so vibrant and reminds me of the lovely autumnleaves - red-orange and a tad brown. Very nice. Very exciting to see how the colors turn out when knitting too.
